Brent found Melissa through an online dating site back in 2021. After a short online dialogue, she agreed to go out on a date with him. She pulled up in the pouring rain to his favorite Brewery, found the guy in the Hawaiian shirt and they spent hours laughing and getting to know each other. They spent some time texting over the next few months but were unable to re-connect, the timing wasn’t right. A few years pass, Brent discovers that Melissa is once again on the same dating app. He sends her a text and asks if she wanted to meet up that Sunday. She agrees to go, but only if they can go somewhere the Steelers game will be on. Brent finds the perfect place in KC with the game on the big screen! She was impressed! They talked, laughed and quickly became good friends. The date went on into the evening lasing over 7 hours involving cornhole, pinball (of course) and Ms. Pac-man . He wasted no time asked her out again. She excitably accepted. Since then, its been laughter, concerts, hiking, travel, a cat (Brent was reluctant), and ALL the things. They have been attached at the hip ever since.

Brent decided to ask her to be his bride in July of 2025 on a trip to the mountains of Colorado. He took her to Loveland Pass Lake and got nervously down on one knee. Melissa accepted his proposal with all the joy in the world as they were perfect for each other! Now here they are, getting hitched……..
