Our Story

Brent and Melissa’s story began in 2021 with a rainy first date at Brent’s favorite brewery. Melissa arrived in a downpour, found the guy in the Hawaiian shirt, and the two spent hours connecting and laughing. Though the timing wasn't quite right then, fate intervened a few years later when Brent spotted her on the same dating app. He reached out with a Sunday invite, and Melissa agreed—on one condition: the Steelers game had to be on. Brent delivered the perfect KC spot with a big screen, and the "second first date" turned into a seven-hour marathon of cornhole, pinball, and Ms. Pac-Man. They’ve been attached at the hip ever since. From hiking trails to concert halls (and the addition of a cat!), Brent and Melissa have been inseparable ever since. . In July 2025, amidst the breathtaking views of Loveland Pass in Colorado, Brent turned a mountain getaway into a milestone by asking Melissa to spend forever with him. Today, they are more than just partners; they are best friends ready to start their greatest chapter yet!
